Vaping Dangers?
On the back of recent research into the world of vape in the States, we decided to look at what some class as ‘danger’ to us vapers.
For many, myself included, vaping made giving up cigarettes much, much easier. After years of teasing myself away from cigarettes, once I tried the vape the cravings were gone, and I haven’t touched a cigarette in 6 months. I was a smoker for over twenty years, the vape has ensured I will not go back to cigarettes and like many, the benefits are more than noticeable in all-round health, smell, and general wellbeing.
So, what is perceived as being dangerous, and how have these dangers come about?
Looking at US vaping news sites it is easy to find a lot of anti-vaping sentiment. With studies being conducted by recognised authorities that have reported back the dangers of vaping. One headline even suggested you have more chance of catching Covid if you vape…
Another report that certainly caught our eye was one stating that not enough evidence exists to prove they help people quit cigarettes. Then even went on to suggest that vaping encourages the young to then move on to using cigarettes. But no scientific evidence supported this suggestion.
Wanting to quit cigarettes should be encouraged, but in the States with so much bad press who would chance using a vape?
This is our issue. Having gone through the process we only know of the benefits to vaping whilst trying to quit the ciggies.
We can only more try and realise that nicotine withdrawal can be achieved by using a vape, as opposed to the elements contained within a standard cigarette.
It’s widely accepted that a standard cigarette contains around 7,000 chemicals, most of which are toxic and extremely detrimental to human health. E-liquid, on the other contains zero, just natural products with a flavour and optional nicotine strengths.
That said, we cannot ignore the reported deaths brought on by vaping. What is often left out of this argument are facts, facts where the vape user has drastically altered their mod or used black market e-liquids.
Vaping is relatively new to the game, but without a doubt it is one of the cleanest ways to intake nicotine. Nicotine is not a great chemical but on its own it is not as dangerous to intake in a vape kit, as when taken using tobacco.
We will keep an eye on these arguments and report back as findings are found and declared. From our view point we can only speak from our experiences. We find vaping to be a harmless joy, and with the variety of high-quality e-liquids something we would highly recommend to anyone looking to quit cigarettes, but ultimately it is up to the individual.
