We initially decided to put this article together with a focus on the recent mail ban, by UPS, of home delivery on all vaping products.

Looking at what is going on the US, within the world of vaping, is staggering. Especially, when you compare it to what is happening now in the UK. But it is difficult to see what will happen down the line in the UK, given all the current anti-vape sentiment in the States.

UPS, as we discovered are following in the steps of Fedex who also announced that they would too be ending home delivery for all vape products in the States.

Government Initiative

It is difficult to understand why mail companies would do this in the States but ultimately it came from their Government. Congress, in the States, passed a congressional passage of the ‘vape mail’ ban that mandates the US postal service create regulations banning US mail delivery of all vaping products.

Any seller of vape products in the States who does not adhere to these requirements will be subject to big fines and may even face prison.

The reasons as to this seem to be one of protection for its citizens and reading around the subject it leaves the blame firmly at vaping manufacturers who are being accused of targeting children with their products.

It did not take us long to discover a whole other world to vaping in the States, where it is seen as a danger in many other ways too. Not much mention to the benefits of a smoker looking to move away from the cigarette. Something, that in the UK is being studied and seems a no-brainer for many in the UK.

We will keep an eye on the States situation. It seems unreasonable from our viewpoint but who are we to go up against the big money behind this government fronted push against the vaping world.
